Gujarat dreams big; Summit confirms

Gujarat dreams big; Summit confirms its capacity to realize its dreams:Hon'ble CM

Gujarat has entered the second decade of the 21st Century with signing of total 7,936 MoUs involving record investment of Rs.20,83,000-crore (USD 450-billion), creating 52 lakh new job opportunities for the youth, on the concluding day of Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit here today.

In all, 35,000 delegates from 101 countries participated in the two-day biennial mega event, making it a truly Global Summit.

Addressing the valedictory function at the majestic Mahatma Mandir, Chief Minister Narendra Modi expressed his firm resolve to ensure Gujarat matched the developed nations of the world and led India’s economic growth. Gujarat dreams big and the Global Summit confirms the state’s capacity to realize the dream, he said.

He said that this global summit was not for the capitalists alone, but for the latter to take the corporate social responsibility of providing basic amenities to the poor.

Mr. Modi called for dedicating the just concluded Summit to the state’s youth and motherhood. He said the government alone cannot bring qualitative changes in the society, but people can. If the gap between the government and society can be bridged, the state can reach new heights. Gujarat is not banking on politics, but reminding people of their civic responsibilities through public policies.

He said the biggest tribute to the Mahatma Gandhi would be to make our towns and villages clean. The developed nations too, rate cleanliness as the top civic sense.

Chief Minister said that everyday he plants a dream in the minds of 5.5 crore Gujaratis. Now, nobody debates about the success of global summit, however, the focus of debate has shifted to how far the summit would benefit to the development of India.

“Everyone wish that Gujarat should scale new heights in various sectors, only because Gujarat has adopted the ways and means for the welfare of humanity.”

Chief Minister stated that out of the total investment of Rs.21-lakh crore, at least forty six percent investment has gone to small and medium scale industries. Renowned industrialist Shri Ratan Tata has accepted an obligation to contribute in social service sector through Mission Mangalam project.

Mission Mangalam scheme ensures welfare and prosperity to all; particularly it aims to inspire the corporate sectors to redeem their pledge for the welfare of women folk living below poverty line. Coming on the constructive agenda, 35 top-class corporate companies are to invest Rs.20,000-crore for the economic empowerment of around 15 lakh women through women’s self-help groups. It will bring a dawn of development in their lives, said Chief Minister.

He said that the summit witnessed corporate giants investing heavily for pro-people projects and is a proof that the summit has become successful in encouraging them to fulfill their social obligations.

He gave credit to ‘Team Gujarat’ for the success of the global summit. GUJARAT DREAMS GUJARAT DELIVERS. Gujarat commands respect and confidence of the investors based on its inherent strength and potential.

The 6th edition of Vibrant Gujarat Summit will be held at Mahatma Mandir on Jan 12 -13, 2013. Shri Modiji extended advance invitation to the business community to participate the mega-event. Gujarat matters, the record breaking MoUs worth Rs.21-lakh crore is going to strengthen the economy of our nation.

Minister of Brazil, Shri Jefferson Dicastro; Uganda’s Minister for Planning, Shri Kamunto Aferaim, Managing Director of Hitachi Human Life Solutions India, Shri Moto Mori Moto; Canadain MP Shri Patrick Brown and Rwanda’s Minister for Infrastructure Shri Ruhamya Koletha while addressing the summit appreciated the visionary development approach of the Chief Minister. Basant Panchami - the advent of Spring

Basant Panchami - the advent of Spring
The sweet songs of the angels of nature, the freshness that the fields breathe, the blossoming of the flowers…… all announce the advent of youthful spring; and the calendar says it’s Basant Panchami. The poet in Shri Narendra Modi finds expression at times and thus rises………………
Also, watch this poem sung with an equal beauty as it is written!

The English translated version of the poem by a well-wisher–
All that begins meets an end,
Every end onsets a new beginning,
From the heart of autumn
Rises the cooing of spring…

At sweet sixteen, melody of a cuckoo within
On whom showers romance, the flowers of spring?
Appearing poor, but rich within…
From the heart of autumn
Rises the cooing of spring…

Who’s getting wedded in woods?
Each tree is lit in festive moods!
Bestowed with divine blessing
From the heart of autumn
Rises the cooing of spring…
