Modi  expresses concern to PM, Oz High Commission over students attacksNew Delhi, June 12 : Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Australian High Commissioner John McCarthy in Delhi over the issue of the ongoing racial attacks on Indian students in Australia.

A large number of students from Gujarat are studying in Australia.

Modi called on Dr. Manmohan Singh, particularly to apprise him of the concerns and worries of Gujarati parents, who are worried for the safety of their children, who are studying in Australian colleges.

Congress has alleged that a BJP Corporator of Mahemdabad Municipality was behind the hooch tragedy.

The protestors led by Congress spokesperson, Rajiv Shukla, demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Narendra Modi.

The Directorate of Forensic Science Laboratory has added another feather to its cap by commencing the formal inauguration of the Gujarat Forensic Science University (GFSU) at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA) on Tuesday.

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the university, in the presence of Gujarat High Court Chief Justice Radhakrishnan.

Modi claimed that the university is the first-of-its-kind in the world.

On this occasion, M. S. Dahiya's book: Crime Scene Management - A Scientific Approach was also released.

The university has been set up at Gandhinagar.

Modi, who was elected unopossed, takes over from Narhari Amin.

The GCA, affiliated to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), governs the game of cricket in Gujarat.
