Political current against Narendra Modi in Gujarat

Political current against Narendra Modi in Gujarat

BJP rebels have taken their arms up against Narendra Modi in Gujrat and pledged to depose him from his position in coming assembly elections of the state.

Rebels along with the former opponents, congress and other groups called him ‘Duryodhan’ who was sent to Gujrat by ‘Dhritrashtra’ Advani.

Farmers’ rally organized at Rajkot which attracted around 2.5 lakhs people mainly from Kutch and Saurashtra turned into a ‘Modi oust campaign’. Rally was attended by mainly two farmer communities Patel and Koli who are considered in a position to change the elections statistics of the state. Congress MLA from Dhoraji and a great leader of Patels Vitthal Radadia, BJP MPs Somabhai patel and Rajkot MP Dr. Valabh Kataria also attended the meeting.

BJP dissidents, congress members launched a fierce attack on Modi government for neglecting farmers community and following anti-farmer policy. They accused that Modi government patronized industrialists at the cost of the farmers. Rally leaders urged people to oust Modi from the Government and vote for congress. They pledged that they would do so at all costs in view that assembly elections are due in December.

BJP MPs Soma Patel and Vallabh Kataria threw a challenge before party to suspend them. Suspended MLA from Rajkot Siddharth Parmar and his fellow from Surat told that BJP is no more BJP in Gujarat but a private company of Modi. A resolution regarding the oust of Modi was also passed by the meeting.

Rally assembled all the rebels of BJP. UKA Patel, president of Saurashtra oil millers association and spiritual leader Dharmbandhu earlier associated with Modi also shared the stage with others including Koli leader CK Pathalwala and shastriya community leader Digvijay Zala.

Narendra Modi vs. Keshubhai Patel

Narendra Modi vs. Keshubhai Patel

Keshubhai Patel has attacked the pro-hindutva firebrand Narendra Modi. In a major discordance with the Modi he attacked the way of functioning of his government.

Keshubhai Patel in a function organized by rebel minister in Surat showed his strife towards Modi government after the flag hoisting ceremony.

He in an open statement accused Modi’s government as autocratic without taking his name directly. For the first time Keshubhai has come out openly against Modi surprising the BJP high command. This unrest was started long before.

He accused Modi as not giving importance to people’s problem but instead industrialist got all the preferences.

After the defeat of bi-election in 2001, Keshubhai Patel was asked to make way to Narendra Modi. He braved Gordhan Zadafiya, Dhirubhai Gajera and Bavku Undhad’s courage .Gordan Zadafiya has told that he is ready to face consequences for 2002 riots and took moral responsibility for what he has done. He revealed that he was only following the Chief Minister’s order and it was his constitutional duty.

Keshubhai cried of lack of internal democracy in Gujarat. He pointed that though party took action against indiscipline but not to those who were unjust to people. He told people to open up and decide what they want on this Independence Day. He accused BJP meeting as it also sidelined those who spoke against Modi.

Keeping in view the upcoming election this unrest in the party could prove fatal for Narendra Modi. As Keshubhai Patel has come out openly to support the suspended BJP Leaders, it will be a major concern for party high command who is trying to suppress the rebellious member from time to time.

New Delhi, Sep 3 (ANI): The Supreme Court has issued notices to Gujarat Government and Chief Minister Narender Modi on a petition seeking CBI inquiry into an alleged fake encounter in which a youth was killed in 2004.

The petition filed by Kerala-based M R Gopinath Pillai alleged that his son Pranesh Kumar Pillai alias Javed Shaikh was gunned down by the Gujarat police for having links with terrorist groups but even four years after the incident there was no evidence to the effect.

A Bench comprising Justices Tarun Chatterjee and Aftab Alam also sought response from state Home Minister Amit Shah relating to the 15th June 2004 police encounter in which Javed along with three persons including a woman were killed in Ahmedabad.

The court also issued a notice to the state government on another petition filed by poet and lyricist Javed Akhtar seeking a probe by a special investigation team into the alleged fake encounters in Gujarat claiming that innocent people, particularly from Muslim community, were being targeted as terrorists.

The petition citing news reports and a sting operation done by a news magazine into the killing of criminal Sameer Khan in October 2002, alleged it was a fake encounter and there was an attempt by the Gujarat government to hush up the incident.

Khan, who was in police custody, was killed on the intervening night of 21st -22nd October 2002 when he allegedly snatched the revolver of a policeman who had accompanied him with a team to a spot where he had murdered a constable.

An FIR was registered alleging that Khan was involved in a conspiracy hatched by Pakistan's ISI and Jaish-e-Mohammed to assassinate Modi and other leaders.

Akhtar, who jointly filed the petition alongwith social activist Shabnam Hashmi, alleged it was the same team of Gujarat police which had killed Soharabuddin Sheikh in the fake encounter and later murdered his wife Kauser Bi.

Both the petitions of Pillai and Akhtar were filed in May 2007 when the apex court was hearing the petition relating to the killing of Soharabuddin Sheikh in a fake encounter.

Later, the court without issuing any notice, had tagged Pillai's petition with the matter of Soharabuddin Sheikh.

The petition of Pillai ,filed through advocate Deepak Prakash, alleged that officials of Gujarat police murdered his son on 15th June 2004 in the guise of an encounter which was planned and executed by them with the motive of enhancing the political image of Chief Minister. (ANI)

Narendra Modi walks out from an Interview!

Narendra Modi walks out from an Interview!

http://www.thenarendramodi.info/wp-content/Narendra-Modi-Speach.jpg

Gujarat bled in 2002 but it is still hounding the nations psyche, it is still the grim reality of death based on religious brutality.

But Modi who cashed on this carnage is still finding it difficult to swig the bitter memories.

Gujarat ’s Chief Minister Narendra Modi created flutter, by walking out during an interview on CNN-IBN.

The programme Devil’s Advocate on CNN-IBN was aired for just four and half minutes on October 19 th.

Karan Thapar known for his sharp edged queries faltered Modis poise by questioning him on Godhra massacre and the image problem he is suffering from.

Karan Thapar: Mr. Narendra Modi, let’s start by talking about you. In the six years that you have been the CM of Gujarat, the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation has declared Gujarat to be the best-administered state. India Today, on two separate occasions, declared that you are the most efficient chief minister. And despite that people still call you to your face a mass murderer and they accuse you of being prejudiced against Muslims? Do you have an image problem?

Narendra Modi: I think it’s not proper to say that (there are) people. There are two or three persons who talk in this terminology and I always say God bless them.

Karan: You are saying this is the conspiracy of two or three persons only?

Modi: I have not said so.

Karan: But you are saying it’s only two or three people.

Modi: This is the information I have. It’s the people’s voice.

Karan: Can I point out to you that in September 2003, the Supreme Court said that they had lost faith in the Gujarat government? In April 2004, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court said that you were like a modern day Nero who looks the other side when helpless children and innocent women were being burnt. The Supreme Court seems to have a problem with you.

Modi: I have a small request to make. Please go through the SC judgment. If there is anything in writing, I’ll be happy to know everything.

Karan: There was nothing in writing, you are right. It was an observation.

Modi: If it is in (the) judgment, then I’ll be happy to give you the answer.

Karan: But do you mean a criticism by the chief justice in court doesn’t matter?

Modi: It’s a simple request. Please go through the court judgment. Hand out the sentence you are quoting and let the people know it.

Karan: OK. It wasn’t just an open comment made by the Chief Justice. In August 2004, the Supreme Court reopened some 2,100 cases out of a total of around 4,600 — almost 40 per cent — and they did so because they believed that justice hadn’t happened in Gujarat.

Modi: I’ll be happy. Ultimately, the court of law will take the judgment.

Karan: But isn’t this the reason that despite the fact (that) India Today called you the best chief minister, (and) the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation says Gujarat is the best administered state, tens of millions say Modi is prejudiced against the Muslims. This is why I ask you do you have an image problem?

Modi: Actually, I have not spent a single minute on my image. And that can also be a reason. I am busy with my work. I am committed to Gujarat and I am dedicated to Gujarat. I never talk about my image (have) never spent a single minute for my image, and confusions may be there.

Karan: I’ll tell you what the problem is, even five years after the Gujarat killings of 2002; the ghost of Godhra still haunts you. Why have you not done more to allay that ghost?

Modi: This I give it to media persons like Karan Thapar. Let them enjoy.

Karan: Can I suggest something to you?

Modi: I have no problem.

Karan: Why can’t you say that you regret the killings that happened? Why can’t you say maybe the government should have done more to protect Muslims?

Modi: What I had to say I have said at that time, and you can find out my statements.

Karan: Just say it again.

Modi: Not necessary I have to talk about in 2007 everything you want to talk about.

Karan: But by not saying it again, by not letting people hear the message repeatedly, you are allowing an image contrary to the interest of Gujarat to continue. It’s in your hands to change it.

Modi: (Takes the microphone off.) I’ll have to rest. I need some water.

Karan: Paani (water).

Modi: Dosti bani rahe. Bas. I’ll be happy. You came here. I am happy and thankful to you. I can’t do this interview. It’s OK your things are. Apne ideas hain, aap bolte rahiye, aap karte rahiye. Three-four questions I’ve already enjoyed. Nahin please.

Karan: But Modi saab...

Modi: Nahin please, Karan

Karan: But Modi saab…

Modi: Karan, dekho main dostana sambhand rakhna chahta hoon, aap usko koshish kariye…

Karan: Mujhe ek cheez samjhaiye, Sir. I am not talking about doing anything wrong. I am saying why can’t you correct your image?

Modi: This is not the time. Uske liye aap mujhe 2002 mein mile hote, 2003 mein mile hote, main sab kar leta.

What if he could have accepted??

The problems and controversies do not seem to leave Modi, as it is coming in volume.

As while addressing Nagrik Abhivadan Samiti, a group of businessmen of Patel community of over 3 lakh in numbers in a rally at Surat, he cried of foul play after 35 cars were gutted down in a parking lot.

Yet the nature of the fire has been not discovered and police is investigating the case.

Modi said after the incident, "Right at the end of the programme, probably seconds before it ended, and miscreants set fire to the vehicles in the parking lot. In a democracy, this sort of resorting to violence is totally condemnable. It was clear that the Congress was involved. I hold the Congress party responsible, only they are capable of doing such things;" he added “I don't differentiate between Congress and BJP rebels."

Ahead of the election the smear campaigning is started and this will be way out to clean the image.

Modi’s government has always piggy backed on Hindutva, but it seems that Modi has got an alarm and restricted the party’s manifesto to development and stability this time around.

Modi, failed during Godhra as an administrator, for not controlling and providing the available resources at right time.

The communal cleavage in Gujarat has become too profound that you hear it even when you close your ear. With rebels from his own party voicing against him and the way such queries made him panicked is nothing but gray shade of his political career.

Guys Here is breaking news of the decade.

As SIT has given clean chit to Narendra modi, Can the Media and other seculars move ahead with life ?

Is Narendra Modi wrong?

Is Narendra Modi wrong?

I read this news about English language media is always very enthusiastic about racking communal emotions of people. Media never cares about any good deeds of Modi and always draws him communal. In this article, media writes about Modi saying no to allocate money for Muslim children’s scholarship. Is he wrong in doing so? why Modi should only think about Muslim children? Why to divide the people on the communal line? If the news is true indeed than three cheers for Modi. Atleast he is not in favour of giving special status to any community on religion bases and not worried about vote bank politics.

I’m not anti Muslim but definitely against vote bank politics and minority appeasement. It’s just my view based on the article I read.
