Narendra Modi meets young innovators
When asked about the reason for his success, Modi said, "It's an open secret. Hard work and love of people are the two factors responsible for it."
A student from Arunachal Pradesh asked Modi about his effort to promote science. "Earlier, 37 talukas in state did not have science in schools, now that has been remedied. We also organise taluka and district-level science competitions and fairs annually," Modi replied.
Talking to media, Modi said, "It is a joy to see students from across the country and abroad not only making an attempt to understand fellow students' projects but also making friends for life." NCSC convenor and principal secretary, science and technology department, Gujarat, Ravi Saxena said that 216 child scientists gave
presentations on Monday.
"Some interesting presentations include natural insect repellent, eco-friendly double-heated oven, a study on ant hill, preservation ," Saxena said.
