Narendra Modi is the chief minister of Gujrat. He is among the most controversial chief minister and politician of India. He belongs to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the main opposition party in Indian parliament.

Narendra Modi has taken Gujrat in to an enviable height despite all controversies he has been continually elected as chief minister of Gujrat. he is among the most successful chief ministers in India.

Large numbers of people see Narendra Modi as future Prime Minister of India. He has started his career as "Pracharak" of RSS and was send in to politics by his organization RSS. He then joined BJP, the political wing of RSS.

His role in Gujrat riots remains controversial. Indian national Congress, which could not do well in Gujrat assembly elections since last few elections always accuse him for communal riots. Several other so called secular parties in India such as CPI (M), Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Samajwadi Party (SP) and Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) also blame him for Hindu Muslim riots in Gujrat. America, the US had denied for diplomatic visa to Narendra Modi.

However, Narendra Modi never cared for all these allegations and continued to work for Gujrat and elected several times as Chief Minister of Gujrat. He is among the most popular chief ministers in India. Indian industrial conglomerates such as Mukesh Ambani and Ratan Tata are great fan of Narendra Modi as he has created the best atmosphere and provided excellent infrastructure for industrial development in Gujrat. Recently he has appointed Amitabh Bachchan, superstar of Indian film industries as brand ambassador of Gujrat.
