Gujarat CM Narendra Modi has been elected as the president of the Gujarat Cricket Association on Tuesday.

Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) authorities feel that Narendra Modi’s new role as the president of Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) will prove to be beneficial for cricket in the state.

“It is a very good development. The CM will now be closer to the issues of cricket in the state and will give impetus to cricketing activities. I congratulate him and wish him luck in his new endeavour,” said Chirayu Amin, BCCI vice-president and BCA president.

BCA vice-president Samarjitsinh Gaekwad too said Modi’s presence in GCA would help all the state associations in promoting, encouraging and developing the game further. “It will help the associations in making inroads in district areas and get better infrastructural facilities,” Gaekwad added.

BJP modi seems to be following the footsteps of Sharad Pawar and Arun Jaitley.
