With an aim to organize a plan to encourage cricket and enlarge required infrastructure for the sports in the state, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi visited the premises of Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) on Monday.

Modi has recently been appointed as the president of GCA.

The CM visited the Motera stadium in Ahmedabad and held discussions with former players, umpires and others vis-à-vis the condition of the sport in Gujarat.

Garba fever rocks Ahmedabad on eighth day of Navartri

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi Ahmedabad, Sep. 27 : People in Ahmedabad enjoyed the traditional vibrant folk dance of Garba with full fervour on the eighth day of Navartri.

Clad in traditional colourful dresses with a lot of mirror and handwork, boys and girls danced to the fullest enjoying every moment of the festival on Saturday.

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and many celebrities made their presence felt at one of the community Garba events.

Men and women of all age groups and musical groups had been practising for the nine-day festival for weeks together.
